THE OAUG REWARDS° PROGRAM
- What is the OAUG Rewards° Program?
OAUG Rewards° is an OAUG Associate member incentive program that rewards your company with points for participating with OAUG in a membership, user group and conference participation capacity. The program also rewards your company for membership referrals, active volunteerism and participation in a SIG and/or Geo leadership role. The OAUG Rewards° Program recognizes and rewards active Associate members for their 360 degrees of participation within our user group and user communities. - How is the OAUG Rewards° Program different from the former OAUG Priority Point System?
The former OAUG Priority Point System only tracked your membership and conference points. With the new OAUG Rewards° Program, you can earn points for volunteering with the OAUG, sponsorships, speaking engagements, etc. The OAUG Rewards° Program rewards your company with everything you can possibly do within the OAUG. The new program also allows you to redeem points for discounts on sponsorships.

- Who is eligible to join OAUG Rewards°?
Any OAUG Associate member, in good standing, that wants to increase their level of participation within the OAUG community and at the same time be rewarded should join.

- What is an OAUG Rewards° member number?
The OAUG Rewards° member number is your unique identification number in the OAUG Rewards° program. It’s also the same as your company’s OAUG membership number.

- How can my OAUG Rewards° Points improve my booth selection time slot?
With the former OAUG Priority Points system, your priority points along with your Star Partner membership (if applicable) determined your rank in selection times. With the new OAUG Rewards° Program, the combination of your association points, conference points and your Star Partner involvement (if applicable) are used to determine your placement in the priority ranking.

Even if you don’t have any conference points at booth selection time, you may still earn points post booth selection and redeem them for OAUG sponsorships at the COLLABORATE conference.

With the OAUG Rewards° Program your company may transfer your existing OAUG Priority Points into the new Program, earn conference points (which can be traded for discounts on conference sponsorships), manage the points online and earn a higher booth selection rank.

Note: Any unused conference points post COLLABORATE will be automatically rolled into your association points bucket, which will add to your ranking for the following year’s booth selection.

- How are points handled for booth selection in the event of a tie?
event of a tie in points between two or more companies at booth selection time, OAUG shall decide priority based on:

1. Star Partner member status (order of priority status:
Five-Star, Four-Star, Three-Star, Two-Star Elite, Two-Star)
2. The date/time the contract, with full payment, is received.

- Do my points expire?
Short answer: no. Association points never expire and continue to grow with your company year-to-year. Since conference points are earned show-to-show, any unused conference points post COLLABORATE will be automatically rolled into your association points bucket, which will add to your ranking for the following year’s booth selection. Only conference points must be used within the show-to-show year.

Inactive accounts for one year will be set to dormant automatically. Points from a one year inactive account can be reinstated once you have enrolled into the program again, however this process must be completed within 12 months of the automatic inactive date.

Inactive accounts for two years or more will be canceled entirely and no points will be reinstated. Unfortunately, there will be no exceptions allowed.

- Are there any penalties and deductions of the OAUG Rewards° Points?
Yes. We pride ourselves in building strong, lasting relationships with our Associate members. This is done through dedicating our efforts to provide great returns on your investment by providing a direct link into the OAUG community and by educating our User members about your products and/or services. Because we hold these values high, we want to ensure our members are upholding what we consider are professional company values during our conferences.

Deductions:
• Any violation of the Rules and Regulations/Terms and Conditions at any of the OAUG conferences that are not or cannot be remedied onsite. For example, late set up or early tear down of booth; violation of height and space restrictions, etc.

• Cancellation of booth space for any of the OAUG conferences.

• Downsizing of a contracted booth space for any of the OAUG conferences.

• No shows at any of the OAUG conferences.

• For non-Star Partner members, if the booth balance due is not received prior to the show date.

• For Star Partner members, special considerations may be made, however points can still be deducted for late-scheduled payments.

Penalities:
OAUG reserves the right to post penalties, in addition to deductions, on member accounts. Penalties can be incurred (but not limited to) any of the following: Cancellation of a sponsorship, a conference booth and/or a drop in booth size, etc.

The main member contact will be notified via e-mail if a penalty and/or deduction of points will be assessed.

- What are the policies surrounding mergers and acquisitions?

Mergers & Acquisitions:
Points are calculated for the company name on the exhibitor contract. If a company then merges or is acquired, the resulting company may choose to use the highest points of any of the previous companies. Points will not be combined from merged companies.

Company Divisions:
Companies (or divisions) belonging to a parent company participating at a conference cannot reserve exhibit space under the parent company’s points unless they are participating under the parent company name. If the company (or division) chooses to exhibit on its own, it must earn and use its own points to reserve space.

Spin-Offs:
Newly formed separate subsidiaries of a parent company will not receive points allocated to previously booked space of the parent company.

- What will happen to my OAUG Rewards° Points should I cancel one of my opportunities?

Cancellation of a sponsorship item:
OAUG Rewards° Points applied toward a discount on a sponsorship item will be reinstated to your account provided there is a 100% refund available on the sponsorship. If there is not a 100% refund on your sponsorship item, the OAUG Rewards° points will be forfeited.

If you did not redeem any of your conference sponsorship points to earn a discount on your sponsorship item, and you cancel the item, the OAUG Rewards° Points earned for this item will be deducted from your account.

Please keep in mind that ANY type of cancellation may result in point deductions and penalties.

Cancellation of an Exhibit booth:
If for some reason you must cancel your exhibit booth, the reward points earned will be deducted from your account and you will incur a deduction and potentially a penalty.

Cancellation of volunteerism:
We highly value the dedication of our members in any volunteer role. For this reason, canceling from a volunteer role within OAUG will not result in any point deductions or penalties. However, removal from a volunteer role due to non-participation or policy violations will result in point deductions and possible penalties.

After April 1, 2007, any Conference Points not redeemed will be combined with your Association Points and will count towards your booth selection ranking the following year.

- Do my points have any monetary value?
With OAUG Rewards, your points are broken up into two categories - Association Points and Conference Points. For every opportunity to earn points there will either be Association or Conference Points earned. In some instances, your company will obtain both Association and Conference Points. Be sure to look at the bottom of every OAUG opportunity for the 360° logo to see if that particular opportunity is part of the OAUG Rewards program. Only the Conference Points can be traded for discounts on OAUG conference sponsorships.

Association Points – Association Points never expire and continue to grow with your organization as long as your company is an OAUG member in continued good standing. If there is a lapse in your membership, your Points will be held for 90 days. If your membership is not reactivated within 90 days, your Points will be forfeited. Association Points cannot be transferred nor traded in for discounts of any kind. Accumulating both Association Points and Conference Points will assist in your ranking for booth selection.

Conference Points – Conference Points are based on a “show-to-show” year. These points are earned by building your level of participation within OAUG prior to the annual Conference – COLLABORATE. These points can then be redeemed (before the cut off date) for discounts and/or free OAUG sponsorships at the upcoming Conference.

For example, Points earned between May 1, 2007 and April 1, 2008 can be used toward the April 2008 COLLABORATE Conference. After April 1, 2008, any unredeemed or newly-earned points (Association and/or Conference Points) can be used for the 2009 Conference. This cycle repeats each year, with May 1 being the date to begin to earn both Conference and Association Points.

Both Association and Conference Points are used, cumulatively, to calculate your ranking for booth selection.

- When can I use my Conference Points to earn a discount on conference sponsorships?
Points earned between May 1, 2007 and April 1, 2008 can be used towards the April 2008 COLLABORATE conference. After April 1, 2008, any unredeemed or newly-earned points (Association and/or Conference Points) can be used for the 2009 conference.

Since booth selection is usually conducted in October or November, we recommend that you do not redeem any Conference Points until after booth selection is complete. This will give you the opportunity to have the most possible points available at the time booth selection begins, thus possibly increasing your booth selection ranking. Immediately following booth selection, you may begin redeeming your Conference Points for discounts.

REFER A BUSINESS PARTNER
 
- Can I refer our partners to become an OAUG Rewards Member?
Absolutely! When you refer a company to enroll in the OAUG Rewards Program you will earn points towards your membership in three ways

1. Referring a non-OAUG member to become an OAUG Associate member.

2. Referring your business partner organization to enroll in the OAUG Rewards Program.

3. Referring an OAUG Associate member that has lapsed at least one-year from exhibiting to exhibit at the upcoming COLLABORATE conference.

The Conference Points you earn for some of these referrals will be enough to redeem for one of the 360 OAUG sponsorship items at the upcoming COLLABORATE conference!

Referring a partnering company is easy. Simply ask your business partner organization to either sign up for OAUG membership via the oaug.org Web site, or sign up for the OAUG Rewards° Program at rewards.oaug.org. Your referral must enter your company name in the referral section in order for your company to receive points. Or, your business partner can e-mail us at: OAUGRewards@oaug.com

- What if two companies refer the same company?
Only one company can receive OAUG Rewards° Points for a referral. The referring company listed at the time of enrollment will receive the points.

- What if I'm missing points for a referral?
OAUG Rewards° Points are processed within approximately two weeks. If you’ve referred a company that is now listed as an OAUG Associate member, OAUG exhibitor and/or OAUG Rewards° member, and points haven't appeared in your account balance, one of the following may have occurred:

o The company may not have entered your company name in the referral section.

o The points may have been awarded to another member. Please keep in mind that only one company can receive credit for a referral.

o The referral may have already been a member of OAUG and/or has exhibited within the past year.

If you believe you should have received points, you can request credit for a referral by contacting us. You have up to 30 days from the time your referral enrolls and/or exhibits to claim credit.

- What if I'm missing points?
OAUG Rewards° Points are processed within approximately two weeks. Points for sponsorships will only be awarded once full payment of the item has been received. If you have made full payment, it’s been over two weeks and you still haven’t received your points, please contact us at OAUGRewards@oaug.com.

- Can I cancel my OAUG Rewards account?
We’d like to say no, but this is a voluntary program and you can opt out at any time. Please keep in mind that if you cancel your account your points will be depleted entirely and you will not be able to obtain them if you later decide to reinstate your account. Additionally, your member points can not be donated or transferred to another member account.

Accounts inactive for one year will be set to dormant automatically. Points from a one year inactive account can be reinstated once you have enrolled into the program again.

Accounts inactive for two years or more will be canceled completely and no points will be reinstated.

Only written cancellations will be accepted via e-mail at OAUGRewards@oaug.com. Once we receive your written cancellation we will then forward that cancellation to the main contact listed on your OAUG membership account. Once approved by your company’s main contact, your account will be cancelled and your points will be depleted.
